Senegal

Senegal faces growing challenges from climate change, including rising temperatures, erratic rainfall, coastal erosion, and the depletion of natural resources. These issues disproportionately affect rural communities, where livelihoods heavily depend on agriculture and fishing, making them highly vulnerable to climate-related disruptions. As the impacts of climate change intensify, the need for evidence-based policies and community-driven solutions has become more critical than ever.

In Senegal, IFSD is actively engaged in addressing climate resilience challenges through research, capacity building, and collaborative initiatives. Our work in Senegal focuses on generating evidence, fostering equitable GESI approaches, and providing technical assistance to support national and local stakeholders in implementing sustainable solutions. Partnering with organisations and institutions within the country, IFSD integrates global insights with local contexts to drive transformative change.
