Applied Research
Overview
Applied research is essential for addressing global challenges, particularly as climate change increasingly affects vulnerable communities. According to the United Nations’ 2022 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, over 3.6 billion people—almost half the global population—are now highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, with many lacking the resources needed to adapt. IFSD’s applied research initiatives are designed to bridge this gap by developing tailored, evidence-based strategies that directly benefit communities on the front lines of climate change.
Our Approach
We focus on robust research design, monitoring, evaluation, and implementation. IFSD’s skilled team uses a participatory approach and collaborates closely with stakeholders to ensure effective research methodology, precise data collection, in-depth analysis, and accurate interpretation, all aimed at impactful solutions.
Outcomes & Impact
IFSD’s Applied Research service leverages scientific insights to address practical challenges in sustainability and development, providing evidence-based recommendations to drive real-world change. Our applied research has informed policies that improve resource management and community resilience, contributing to sustainable development across multiple regions.
