Period: June – December 2021
Partner: Centre for People and Forest (RECOFTC)
Project Overview:
This project focused on strengthening the capacity of universities in Southeast Asia to advance gender-inclusive forest landscape governance. Covering seven countries—Lao PDR, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam—the initiative addressed the need for equitable and inclusive decision-making in forest management. The research informed policies at various organisational levels, fostering more effective governance frameworks. By translating these insights into capacity-building materials, RECOFTC enabled university faculties and student researchers to integrate gender equity into their academic and policy work, driving meaningful change across the region.
