Project Overview:
The Australia Awards Fellowship 2024-2025, hosted by IFSD in partnership with Western Sydney University, is dedicated to building climate resilience and enhancing water security in regions facing critical challenges due to rapid urbanisation and climate change. This fellowship empowers 13 key professionals in Nepal and India with the knowledge and skills needed to address complex water and climate issues.
In Nepal, the program targets the Chure-Terai Madhesh region, where the preservation of water resources is vital for the well-being of nearly 10 million residents who depend on its delicate ecosystems. In India, the fellowship centres on Rajasthan’s Udaipur district, fostering innovative strategies to combat water scarcity and implement sustainable catchment management.

Designed a fellowship proposal to build climate resilience capacity among 13 professionals from Nepal and India, specifically those working in regions experiencing rapid urbanisation and climate-related water challenges.
