Description:
In the face of the escalating climate crisis, responses have largely been technical, often neglecting the critical governance and political dimensions of climate adaptation. GovAdapt tackled this gap by convening a two-part webinar series that reframed adaptation as a deep political process. The dialogues explored how re-politicising adaptation through inclusive governance, knowledge recognition, and community-driven transformation can foster meaningful and sustainable climate resilience.
Services provided by IFSD:
- Organising and leading discussions that revealed the political complexities of climate adaptation.
- Hosting dialogues that emphasised creating spaces for broader knowledge recognition and transformational community resistance.
- Strengthening an international community of practice, fostering new insights and collaborative approaches for inclusive and adaptive governance in addressing the climate crisis.
